What is Backflow?
Backflow is the undesirable reversal flow of water through pipes that could draw contaminates (bacteria, chemicals, pollutants) into the drinking
water system. When the drinking water system is connected to anything that could cause impurities to enter back into the drinking water, it's
required to be protected by a Backflow Assembly. VIRGINIA STATE LAW requires all Backflow Assemblies to be tested at the time of installation and
YEARLY thereafter. Heavy fines are imposed when this is not done.
